Ireland’s Defence Forces are planning to pay a recruitment firm €6.2 million to handle recruitment for the Irish Navy, the Irish Mirror reported. The contract will initially be for one year with two 12-month extensions possible. The Irish Mirror reported the move comes after Tanaiste and Minister for Defence Micheál Martin said earlier this year that there was a recruitment crisis in the Navy.
