Infosys revenue up in Q3, revises forecast

IT services giant Infosys (NYSE: INFY) reported revenue rose 6.1% on a year-over-year, constant currency basis in US dollars to $4.94 billion in its fiscal third quarter ended 31 December 2024. Revenue rose across geographies except for the “rest of world” segment.
Infosys also raised its revenue forecast for the third time this fiscal year, Bloomberg reported. The company now forecasts revenue growth for its full fiscal year of between 4.5% and 5.0% in constant currency, though that compares with the average analyst estimate of 5.6%, according to Bloomberg. The company previously forecast an increase of between 3.75% and 4.50%.
Revenue by Geography
- In North America, which ranks as Infosys’ largest segment, revenue rose 4.8% in constant currency, It’s the company’s largest segment representing 58.4% of revenue.
- European revenue rose 12.2% in constant currency; it represents 29.8% of revenue.
- India revenue rose 40.1% in constant currency. It represents 3.1% of revenue. However, rest-of-world revenue fell 11.1% in constant currency and represents 8.1% of revenue.
The number of clients rose to 1,876, up marginally from 1,872 in the year-ago quarter.
Headcount increased to 323,379 in the third quarter from 322,663 in the third quarter of last year.
