Jobs website Indeed named Chris Hyams as its new CEO, effective April 1. He will replace Hisayuki Idekoba, who has served in that role since October 2013.
Hyams has been president of Indeed since October 2015, and has been responsible for innovation and growth. He had previously served as senior VP of product, responsible for Indeed’s product and operations. During his tenure, Hyams helped develop Indeed’s global technology team.
Indeed’s parent company, Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd., appointed Idekoba to its board of directors in addition to his responsibilities as chief operating officer. He will join the board in June subject to shareholder approval; he will continue to be based in Austin, Texas, and be involved in management decisions as a director of Indeed.
Recruit Holdings today reported revenue rose 6.0% year over year in its fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31. The HR technology segment, which includes Indeed, drove growth during the quarter with a 48.4% increase.
