HMRC adds seven companies to list of tax avoidance schemes

HM Revenue and Customs in the UK named seven new companies to its list of tax avoidance schemes, promoters, enablers and suppliers.

The following non-compliant companies were added on 8 August (each link provides details of the type of tax avoidance):

SIA has reached out to these companies for comment in cases where contact information was available.

HMRC said it is aware that some umbrella companies operate more than one scheme, for example a standard compliant scheme and a non-compliant scheme. HMRC advises employees of theses to familiarise themselves with the guidance and to satisfy themselves that the correct amount of tax is being deducted on their income.
