Health Advocates Network continues to expand with the acquisition of Staff America Medical Staffing, its fourth in the fourth quarter. The deal was announced and closed today.
Staff America is based in Ocala, Florida, and specializes in placing registered nurses, licenses practical nurses/licensed vocational nurses and therapists on both local and travel assignments in Florida and the Midwest. It was founded in 2001.
“The combination of Health Advocates’ experienced management team and deep resources will allow for expanded career opportunities for both the Staff America field and internal staff as well as continued geographical expansion,” Staff America founder and CEO Michael Arthur said in a press release.
Arthur will remain involved with Staff America on a consulting basis as he moves toward retirement. He has a management team that runs the business and will remain with the combined firm.
“Our partnership with Mike continues to scale Health Advocates’ nursing presence in two key markets,” Eddie Albert, director of M&A at Health Advocates Network, said in a press release. “Our acquisition pipeline remains robust and we look forward to closing additional acquisitions in the first quarter of 2025.”
Terms of the transaction were not announced.
Health Advocates Network itself is based in Boca Raton, Florida, and was founded in January 2020. Its other acquisitions this quarter were Medical Temps Inc., DiagnosTemps and WorkSquare.
The CEO of Health Advocates Network is Kevin Little, an executive with significant experience in the healthcare staffing industry. He has appeared on the 2024 Americas Staffing 100 list. His previous experience includes building up healthcare staffing firms. He served as CEO at Accountable Healthcare Staffing and was a co-founder and executive at Medical Staffing Network.
Health Advocates Network ranks on SIA’s list of largest healthcare staffing firms. Its business lines include travel nurse and allied healthcare.
