HeadFirst Global appointed Edzard Overbeek as group CEO, the company announced Feb. 6. Overbeek takes over from Julia Robertson, who is stepping down after 25 years of leadership, including 10 years as CEO.
HeadFirst Global provides MSP services, direct sourcing, RPO, staffing and other services. Last year, the firm acquired MSP services provider Impellam Group, that brought the combined company to €8 billion (USD 8.7 billion) in spend under management at the time, according to SIA Research.
Overbeek has held leadership positions at firms such as Fujitsu, Siemens and Cisco Systems. In 2016, he became CEO of Here Technologies, a provider of mapping and location technology.
“Edzard’s proven track record in leading global teams and driving innovation make him the ideal leader to build on our strategic momentum and to continue to redefine the workforce solutions landscape,” HeadFirst’s global board said in a statement.
Outgoing CEO Robertson will work closely with Overbeek over the coming months to ensure a seamless transition.
“HeadFirst Global is on the cusp of an exciting new era,” Robertson said in a press release. “I am incredibly proud of the bold ambitions we, the board and the leadership team, have set in motion. With Edzard Overbeek as Group CEO, I am confident the company will continue to break new ground in the industry.”
Robertson appeared on the Europe Staffing 100 list.
