HCL revenue rises 4.1% with increases across geographies

IT services giant HCL Technologies today reported revenue rose 4.1% on a constant currency basis as measured in US dollars in its fiscal third quarter. Revenue at the Noida, India-based firm rose across geographies. It also narrowed its revenue forecast for the full year. However, Reuters reported that HCL’s revenue as measured in Indian rupees was below expectations.

In the Americas, its revenue was up 6.2% year over year in constant currency as measured in US dollars. The Americas represented 65.5% of revenue in the quarter. Meanwhile, revenue from Europe and the rest of the world were up 2.6% and 2.9%, respectively.
In today’s announcement, HCL reported that it expects revenue for the full fiscal year to increase between 4.5% to 5.0% in constant currency, an update from its previous forecast of between 3.5% and 5.0%.
Global headcount at HCL rose to 220,755 in the quarter from 218,621 in the second quarter. The company noted 28.8% of its employees were women.
