London-based construction recruitment firm Fawkes & Reece announced the acquisition of Northampton-based recruiter Venture Contracts.

The price of the acquisition was not disclosed. The acquisition provides Fawkes & Reece with its seventh regional office across the UK and over 150 members of staff.

Founded in 2013, Venture Contracts focuses on construction recruitment. It offers CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) labour, CSCS skilled tradesmen and CPCS plant operators to main contractors and smaller sub-contractors alike.

Ray Connolly, group managing director, said in a press release, “We are already a national business but in the South Midlands between our London and Birmingham offices we needed a strong, local presence to provide an increased level of service. Venture Contracts have a strong team and will add value and will thrive working with our customers whilst strengthening our delivery capabilities across Central, South and the East Midlands.”

Emma Charles, Director of Venture Contracts, said, “Over the last 11 years we have worked hard to build our reputation and team. We are inspired by the vision of Fawkes & Reece, and we will be better equipped to support our customers. The team and I are really excited to get going”.

Charles takes up the role of director for blue-collar across both London and the Midlands.
