Net sales fell 1.5% at en Japan (4849:TYO), a provider of HR technology and recruitment, to JP¥16.25 billion (USD 101 million) in the company’s fiscal first quarter ended 30 June. The Tokyo-based company noted a rising number of paid-for job ads in its HR tech segment, but net sales declined in the Japanese job board market.
A difficult external environment led to lower net sales at its business located outside of Japan.
Operations at en Japan include:
- En World Japan, a temporary staffing provider
- Insight Tech, a contract marketing research organization
- Brocante, a jobs website for freelance engineers
- Zeku, a provider of a recruitment management system and a platform that enables clients to build their own recruitment websites
- En Konkatsu Agent, an online marriage consultancy
The company also has overseas operations, including:
- Navigos Group, a job placement and job board management firm in Vietnam
- Future Focus Infotech, an IT staffing and managed software development business in India
- New Era India Consultancy, a job placement business in India

For the full fiscal year ending 31 March 2025, en Japan forecast net sales will rise 7.9%.
