The UK-based international specialist staffing group today published a trading update for the financial year ended 31 December 2024 ahead of announcing its full-year results on 27 March 2024.
“Challenging market conditions have continued to persist throughout 2024 with no significant indication of improvement in the short term,” Rhona Driggs, CEO of Empresaria, said in a press release. “We have made good progress on our strategic objectives and in further simplifying the group, and we remain focussed on improving performance in the current environment.”
Empresaria added that adjusted profit before tax is expected to at least meet current market expectations.

Temporary and contract net fee income grew by 2% on a constant currency and like-for-like basis. Permanent placement continues to be challenging with net fee income reducing by 21% (CC LFL).
Looking ahead, given the ongoing trading environment, the expected profit for the year, and the increased net debt position, the board does not expect to recommend the payment of a final dividend for 2024.
