Employ Inc., a recruiting and talent acquisition provider and the parent company of JazzHR, Jobvite and NXTThing RPO brands, acquired AI interview intelligence platform Pillar.

“AI is fundamental and core to driving efficiency in the hiring process, so much so that we wanted to own the interview intelligence roadmap to drive future developments that meet the needs of our customers,” Dara Brenner, chief product officer at Employ, said in a press release. “We don’t see AI as a bolt-on, we believe it’s critical to have greater control of natively embedded capabilities to drive efficiencies throughout the entire workflow.”

The transaction closed March 2; terms were not disclosed.

The Pillar brand will remain. The product will be embedded into Employ’s entire product suite but also still be sold as a standalone product.

Founded in 2020, Pillar is headquartered in Indianapolis. Its team of 11 employees has now joined Employ. Their roles and titles will change slightly due to nature of acquisition and needs of the business.

According to Employ, Pillar enables customers to utilize AI directly in their hiring workflows, allowing recruiters to save 40 hours per month, reduce time to fill by 26% on average and decrease year-one attrition rates by 32%.

Denver-based Employ serves more than 23,000 clients across multiple industries.
