Eliassen Group, an IT staffing provider based in Reading, Massachusetts, acquired Via Technical, an IT staffing firm serving the San Diego market.

The deal enhances clients’ access to services and talent as well as expands Eliassen’s Southern California presence, according to the company.

“Via Technical comes to Eliassen with a roster of wonderful clients, an impressive group of talented professionals and a well-deserved ‘service-first’ reputation,” Eliassen CEO Dave MacKeen said in a press release.

Via Technical provides mid-to senior-level technical and talent in fields such as applications, network/systems infrastructure, end-user support and creative development.

The deal closed Oct. 14. Terms of the transaction were not announced.

“Partnering with Eliassen Group strengthens our capabilities, enabling us to serve our clients more comprehensively and across a wider range of business areas,” Via Technical founder and CEO Natalie Viani said in a press release.

Viani will remain with the combined company and lead growth in the San Diego area.

Eliassen is based in Reading, Massachusetts and is the 12th-largest IT staffing firm in the US.
