The temporary employment sector in the Netherlands saw a downturn in hours while turnover also fell during the sixth period of 2024 (week 21 – 24, starting 20 May), according to the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU).
In period 6, the number of hours decreased by 8% and turnover decreased by 2% compared to the same period last year.
In the administrative sector, the number of hours decreased by 16% and turnover decreased by 7% compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in the Industrial sector the number of hours decreased by 5% and turnover increased by 2% compared to the same period last year.
ABU’s research also showed that in the technical sector hours decreased by 11% and turnover decreased by 5% compared to the same period last year.
