The temporary employment sector in the Netherlands saw a decrease in hours while turnover fell slightly during the eleventh period of 2024 (week 41 – 44, starting 7 October), according to the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU).
In period 11, the number of hours decreased by 7%, and turnover decreased slightly by 1% compared to last year.
In the administrative sector, hours decreased by 18%, and turnover decreased by 9% compared to last year.
Meanwhile, in the industrial sector, the number of hours decreased by 2% and turnover increased by 4% compared to the same period last year.
ABU’s research also found that in the technical sector, hours decreased by 12% and turnover decreased by 5% compared to the same period last year.
