The temporary employment sector in the Netherlands saw a decrease in hours while turnover was also down during the seventh period of 2024 (week 25 – 28, starting 17 June), according to the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU).
In period 7, the number of hours decreased by 9% and turnover decreased by 3% compared to the same period last year.
In the administrative sector, the number of hours decreased by 16% and turnover decreased by 7% compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in the Industrial sector, the number of hours decreased by 6% and turnover increased by 1% compared to the same period last year.
ABU’s research also showed that in the technical sector hours decreased by 13% and turnover decreased by 8% compared to the same period last year.
