Conexus Recruiting acquired CV Resources, an Irvine, California-based finance/accounting staffing firm.

The deal broadens Conexus Recruiting’s service offerings, according to the company. It also deepens its expertise in the finance space at both the staff and senior staff levels. In addition, Conexus Recruiting aims to strengthen its position in key markets such as Southern California and the Pacific Northwest with the deal.

“The demand for skilled accounting professionals continues to rise as fewer students enter the field, creating a significant talent gap across finance functions,” Mike Kelly, partner at Conexus Recruiting, said in a press release. “This acquisition strengthens our ability to bridge that gap, particularly within the critical office of the CFO.”

Conexus Recruiting’s acquisition of CV Resources closed Nov. 29.

“By joining forces with Conexus, we can broaden our reach, improve our offerings and create even more opportunities for our clients and candidates,” Mike Vass, founder of CV Resources said in a press release. Vass will remain with the combined company as a partner.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.

“Having worked closely with CV Resources for over five years as a trusted referral partner, we know firsthand the quality of their interim and direct-hire talent,” Sean Gill, Los Angeles partner at Conexus Recruiting, said in a press release.

Conexus Recruiting has offices in Los Angeles; Glendale, California; and Irvine, California.
