Cognizant revenue up 6.7% in Q4 with growth across geographies

IT services giant Cognizant Technology Solutions (NASDAQ: CTSH) reported fourth-quarter revenue rose 6.7% in constant currency to $5.08 billion with growth across geographies. Revenue was in line with guidance.
North American fourth-quarter revenue rose 8.4% in constant currency to $3.82 billion and benefited from the acquisitions of engineering staffing firm Belcan and IT services provider Thirdera in January 2024.
Cognizant’s fourth-quarter headcount was 336,800, down from 340,100 in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Also during the fourth quarter, a US jury ruled against Cognizant in a bias lawsuit. A company spokesman at the time said Cognizant was disappointed with the verdict and planned to appeal.
Cognizant forecasts first-quarter revenue of $5.0 billion to $5.1 billion, which makes for a growth range of 5.6% to 7.1%. The increase on a constant currency basis is between 6.5% and 8.0%.
Full-year revenue is expected to be between $20.3 million and $20.8 billion, a year-over-year increase of between 2.6% and 5.1%. On a constant currency basis, the increase is between 3.5% and 6.0%.

Shares in Cognizant closed on 6 February at USD 87.09, up 4.25% on the day. They set a new 52-week high during 6 February’s trading session when they reached USD 87.32. The company has a market cap of USD 42.74 billion.
