Cheltenham-based recruitment firm Adjacency Recruitment Group announced that Adjacency Executive Search has merged with Grays Search and Selection, an executive search firm based in London.

Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.

Grays Search & Selection will operate under the recently rebranded Adjacency Executive Search brand, with Grays owner Simon Bell taking on the role of managing partner.

Adjacency said that as part of its growth strategy, owner Miles Greenslade has focused on building the firm’s executive search capabilities. The group added that a merger with Grays Search & Selection is pivotal to this strategy.

Bell told various media including Punchline Gloucester and Bristol World, “By combining forces with Miles and Adjacency, we have started a new and exciting chapter for Adjacency Executive Search and the team. We are confident that our proven, robust approach to finding and retaining senior talent for our clients will accelerate our UK and international reputation and reach further.”

“Having worked with Miles for many years in a previous life, we know each other very well,” Bell continued. “Our shared values, approach and dedication to providing the strongest service to both candidates and clients set us apart from the competition. Between us, we can leverage many decades of experience. The relationship was a no-brainer for us both, and we are all very excited at this next stage of our story together.”

Greenslade added, “We’re thrilled to re-launch Adjacency Executive Search. The merger with Grays adds significant strength to our proposition and capabilities, as well as a London base and expanded geographical presence. Joining forces with Simon and his team is a great privilege, and we are excited at what the future holds.”

“Simon and his team bring a wealth of experience to the business,” Greenslade said. “What I was most impressed with was their unwavering focus on quality-driven delivery, like ourselves, something we both feel is often missing in the market these days. The merger also adds additional weight to our in-house research and administration capabilities.”
