Mark Eldridge launched IT and life sciences staffing provider Alku in 2008 with a culture based on the mantra “Have Fun Working Hard.” That mindset has landed the firm on SIA’s Best Staffing Firms to Work For list each year since 2014 — five of those years in the top spot. The fun and hard work have led to significant growth for the firm, which ranked as one the largest and fastest-growing staffing firms in the US in 2023. In 2023, the firm exceeded $600 million in revenue
A strong believer in giving back, Eldridge created the Alku Foundation, which links with other nonprofits to promote youth-serving programs in Massachusetts. In addition to funds raised through the foundation, Alku gives each employee paid time off to volunteer at places of their choosing.
