Establishing Aquent from his dorm room in 1986, John H. Chuang has steered it to become the largest US marketing/creative staffing firm. Under his leadership, Aquent achieved Net Zero status in 2024, becoming the first staffing firm to eliminate its carbon footprint — a milestone driven by sustainable initiatives, including a shift to a virtual-first work model in 2020. Aquent has a legacy of innovation, from offering full-time benefits to contingent workers in 1993 to launching the industry’s first Massively Open Online Course in 2013. Beyond Aquent, Chuang serves on the board of MakeMyMove, a marketplace through which communities incentivize remote workers to relocate.
