As a consultant at law firm Osborne Clarke, Frances Lewis focuses on supporting staffing companies globally with strategic planning, tax status, regulatory and M&A needs. Last year, she helped firms expand internationally, implement new operating models and prepare for legal challenges to self-employment and gig working. She plans to guide staffing companies through upcoming changes from the new Labour government, including banning zero-hour contracts and enforcing tax compliance. As a trainee lawyer in the late ’90s, she advised on one of the first MSPs in the UK and upon qualification joined the team specialised in advising on contingent workforce arrangements.
