Healthcare staffing firm Stability Healthcare connects travel nurses to jobs with the aim of keeping the process as simple and supportive as possible.

With 20 years of prior experience in IT staffing, Jason Casani, who today serves as the ­firm’s CEO, launched Stability Healthcare in Los Angeles in 2009 along with current COO Jon Chesnik. The company began with a simple mission: to connect clinicians to opportunities with technology at its roots.

Stability Healthcare has grown substantially since then, as has the emphasis on developing tools to enable its teams to collaborate.

Indeed, the firm previously landed a spot in Staffing Industry Analysts’ Fastest-Growing Staffing Firms in 2018. Stability Healthcare has also won recognition for its fast growth by the Inc. 500 and the Los Angeles Business Journal.

According to managing director Meg Vernon, who joined the firm in 2013, Stability’s Healthcare’s diversity has fueled its ability to work outside of traditional staffing models and grow. “We are proud of our motley crew, coming from various industries and backgrounds, collaborating together,” she says.

Vernon also points out that Stability Healthcare was one of the first staffing firms to publish pay packages to its clinicians without requiring an application.

“This transparency helped our credibility with clinicians as a trusted name,” she says. “We invested heavily in our technology to facilitate a seamless experience for our clinicians starting at the initial position review through onboarding. We allowed the candidates to access all opportunities autonomously while layering in our team to enhance the process. Speed to market was a necessity during Covid - our infrastructure was designed with that spirit.”

In addition to pay transparency, Stability Healthcare offers full benefits, housing and placement packages for every traveler’s individual situation. The firm also allows travel nurses to pick their own locations from its facilities nationwide, saying this “recruiter-free” job-searching feature enables travel nurse candidates to search thousands of assignments, which are updated hourly.

“We are constantly reviewing how we can improve the clinician and facility experience by providing exclusive benefits without sacrificing quality,” Vernon explains. “We continue to invest in technology, improving our platforms which allows us to cater to the more specific aspirations of our clients.”

Stability Healthcare is committed to giving back to the community as well. At the firm’s company summit earlier this year, team members came together to build bicycles for a local elementary school.

As the high demand for travel nurses is expected to continue to grow, Stability Healthcare is poised to continue its journey of rapid growth.
