A group of high school friends transformed their shared passion for fostering relationships into reality in 2013 when they founded Spire Healthcare LLC, a healthcare staffing firm headquartered in Atlanta.

“We never let profit cloud our vision. Quality trumped quantity from the get-go,” says Michael Jacoutot, founder and managing partner.

A decade later, Spire is hiring steadily. Even in a remote working environment, the intrinsic nature of the company to forge profound connections remains consistent.

Jacoutot emphasizes the significance of biannual meetings in Atlanta, a tradition that infuses the organization’s essence through every remote interaction. “We bring the team together twice a year for an immersive experience,” he says.

And at the heart of Spire’s expansion exists an authentic culture that thrives on delivering meaningful solutions, says Matt Cheij, recruiting director.

“Our contractors rarely seek alternatives elsewhere because we invest genuine time in comprehending their needs and top priorities, not just shuttle them to any facility,” Cheij says. “We believe in seeking to understand before asking to be understood, and this approach has led to around 40% of our recruits joining us via referrals.”

Trust, Jacoutot points out, is Spire’s keystone. This trust propels Spire to the forefront, providing services that clients can rely on. “Clients appreciate the extra vetting we do. In a world constantly trying to disintermediate the recruiter, Spire leans on the tech available but doesn’t stray from the roots,” he says.

Yet the driving force behind Spire’s journey isn’t solely growth - it’s the pursuit of feedback.

Regular status checks and net promoter scores maintain the firm’s feedback loop, keeping in sync with the ever-evolving needs of clients and customers.

“If we sense even the faintest signs of change or strains in our interaction with customers or clients, we promptly shift into proactive mode,” Jacoutot says. “Our concern for their well-being transcends mere business. Should their circumstances shift, our aim is to swiftly and efficiently provide support.”
