Robin Adams Geiger
Honoree profile
As an advocate for the advancement of diversity, equity and inclusion for over two decades, Ingenovis Health’s Robin Adams Geiger has devoted herself to making a difference in the healthcare staffing industry. Through her contributions in inclusive pedagogy advocacy, clinician support and mental health sponsorship, she has proven to be an influential leader in the DE&I community. “My philosophy is that inclusivity is incredibly simple: If you know someone is having a challenge, it is important to give that individual the support needed to have a seat at the table,” Geiger says.
In the last year and a half, Geiger launched, developed and expanded Ingenovis’ ACT Program (advocacy, career, tools), which offers resources and support to healthcare professionals. “I sought to create pillars of success for clinicians on the front lines and give them a voice,” she explains. Through her leadership, the Ingenovis Health Scholarship Program has given $100,000 to recipients annually, released an allied health toolkit resource for their mental health initiative and headed straight to the source of lobbying for bills directed at clinician safety.

Geiger traces her commitment to nursing diversity to her time as an ICU nurse, where she didn’t always have the tools she needed to deal with challenges experienced at the bedside. “Now as a board-certified nurse executive, I mentor clinicians through similar experiences and develop programs of support,” she says. “The influence of DE&I in healthcare relates to patient outcomes. Clinicians need aligned opportunities for learning to provide equitable and safe patient care.”
She discussed her experiences earlier this year as a guest on the Caring Greatly podcast, highlighting the importance of supporting nurses holistically while sharing her approach to combating burnout and building resilience among healthcare professionals.
Geiger is a member of the board of advisors for the American College of Education and a member of the board of directors for the National Diversity Council. She also cofounded Ovita Health, a telehealth organization focused on providing patient-centered care and optimization of healthcare options.
Geiger’s work is centered around extending a helping hand to those who may not have support. “At the end of the day, it is important to be kind, aware and also unafraid to have uncomfortable conversations,” she says. “A simple mindset is really a strong one.”
