Honoree profile
“Diversity, equity and inclusion is not an occasional initiative but a fundamental aspect of an organization,” says Airswift Global Chief Revenue Officer Anna A. Frazzetto. “It is not about ticking boxes; it’s about integrating them into our identity.”
In her 13 months at Airswift, Frazzetto has prioritized DE&I, raising its prominence both inside and outside her company. As global chair for the company’s DEI Council, she and her team launched Global Days of Belonging, a campaign raising awareness and donations for DE&I-focused organizations worldwide.
For Frazzetto, the essence of DE&I lies in the concept of belonging, a sentiment deeply ingrained in her as the daughter of Italian immigrants in the US.
“From an early age, I understood the nuances of feeling like an outsider, navigating a world that often seemed at odds with my identity,” she reflects. “I know what it is to feel like a misfit, to be left out of parties and have your cultural identity questioned.”
One of her proudest accomplishments has been co-authoring the 2022 book Together We Rise alongside 14 other female leaders in staffing. Her chapter, focusing on empowering immigrant women, reflects her mission to help others overcome similar challenges.
“Sometimes all it takes is a little guidance to make better choices for ourselves and our communities,” she says.
Everyone’s unique. The moment you understand that not one size fits all, that’s the time you’ll be able to ensure everyone gets a fair shot to thrive.
Drawing from her personal experiences, Frazzetto in 2023 positively impacted the lives of immigrants by providing employment opportunities, career enhancement and a sense of community. Her compassion extended to sheltering Ukrainian immigrants fleeing conflict in her Florida home and leading food drives for hundreds of families.
“The current political climate that demonizes immigrants breaks my heart,” she admits. “But I refuse to let that narrative define us.” She continues, “People tend to be highly attentive when issues arise initially. However, it’s crucial to acknowledge that these issues persist, even if they’re no longer in the spotlight.”
Frazzetto’s efforts have led her selection to contribute to a UN initiative for gender equity by 2030. Yet, her support for DE&I extends beyond this milestone. She’s a passionate advocate for children with learning disabilities, inspired by her niece’s journey with dyslexia.
“Everyone’s unique. The moment you understand that not one size fits all, that’s the time you’ll be able to ensure everyone gets a fair shot to thrive.”
