Vishal Kumar Choubey’s focus on innovation and efficiency has transformed Shell India’s sourcing landscape, positioning its sourcing team as a pivotal component in the company’s global operations. Choubey drives the strategic direction and operational excellence for Shell India’s operational sourcing team (OST). Formed in 2021, OST was designed to alleviate administrative burdens for IT hiring managers and facilitate seamless sourcing for suppliers. The team’s mission is to deliver the right talent at the right time at right cost, ensuring project requirements are met efficiently across four IT hubs in India, the UK, the US and the Netherlands.

Under his leadership, the team has become a robust managed sourcing team. By leveraging automation, Choubey has significantly reduced turnaround times and increased sourcing efficiency. His human-centric approach fosters collaboration between suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring mutual success and driving substantial savings for Shell.

Choubey joined the organization in 2017, managing RPO to support Bangalore IT hub growth and driving significant improvements in process maturity and satisfaction scores. Recognized for his contributions with awards, he transitioned into Shell’s integrated sourcing team, where he developed and executed contingent workforce strategies.

Prior to Shell, Choubey held roles with staffing providers, where he honed his skills in process improvements and contract staffing. Most recently, he joined global recruitment firm Recruit Global in Bangalore as senior manager, leading strategic initiatives and end-to-end implementation of process efficiencies, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors.
