When one thinks of a forward thinker and tactical business leader, Paul Labelle comes to mind. Spending over 16 years of his career with Interpublic Group, or IPG, a marketing solutions and advertising services firm, he has contributed greatly to the organization’s success in contingent labor and financial analysis cross-functionally.
With tens of thousands of temporary, contract and contingent workers at IPG, Labelle has created systems to streamline a robust group of individuals. “Our process is really understanding the business, developing relationships with business leads, the client teams, and then engaging the C-suite to manage risk,” he explains.
Over the last two years, the influencer space has been an exciting area of growth for IPG and at a client level for Labelle. “We were able to streamline contract management and negotiate enterprise agreements with our key influencer marketing platforms to improve terms and conditions commercially and legally,” he says proudly. The initiative has been wildly successful, with IPG approaching 300 seats globally.
In addition to pioneering the influencer legal and commercial process, Labelle has also leveraged financial management systems to perform contract management for influencers, streamlining onboarding and payment processes. The new platform will continue IPG’s path forward in creating a seamless process for its contingent workers with expedited payment, mitigated risk and top-of-the-line technology.
With global expansion and activity on the horizon to stand up programs for its payrolling partners in Australia, Labelle is excited for IPG’s future.
