Driven by passion for her work, Lou Holcomb has built a flexible, responsive and cross-collaborative workforce program at UKG that covers multiple countries and business units. UKG delivers all-in-one workforce-central solutions to meet its clients’ needs with a contingent workforce that flexes based on business cycles, rapidly scaling to support varying initiatives.
Holcomb has spent her efforts supporting a cross-functional initiative to shift provisioning with statement-of-work consultants, a move that led to $1.5 million in cost savings in the first fiscal year and greater alignment across teams. Additionally, Holcomb supported the product team with a new launch and annual project which helped give leadership better visibility on the organization’s total workforce for capacity planning.
Holcomb believes in strong cross-functional collaboration and nurturing success through continuous learning. As the economy and industry shift, Holcomb has prioritized leveraging specialized skillsets and cost-effective solutions to bring top talent into the organization. “I love that I get to witness and be a small part of the growth and success of everyone within my sphere of influence,” Holcomb says.
Going forward, Holcomb, who first started her career on the supplier side after serving in the US military, wants to build a more comprehensive workforce strategy to better integrate management with HR and procurement systems to better streamline processes and improve visibility.
