honoree profile

The National Football League’s Amber Trapp was fortunate to join a recognized brand that already attracts a strong pipeline of candidates. Her next play? Meet the organization’s changing workforce needs by growing its partnership with key providers while prioritizing the individual contingent worker experience.

Contingent workers at the NFL are valued members of the NFL workforce, and the NFL and key providers work together to demonstrate that through initiatives like a recognition program.

“We want our contingent workers to understand the important place they have in our workforce, and we think we’ve taken some important steps to achieve that” Trapp explains.

Trapp also led the RFP and implementation of a new applicant tracking system. Launched in June, it provides a better experience through automation and efficiency. The global tool will play a key role as the NFL pursues international expansion. “We only expect our workforce needs to increase as the league expands its international footprint,” Trapp says.

“Having a system that can help us meet our workforce needs globally is important, and [the ATS] will be able to do that,” Trapp says. “We are very excited about it. We are in the beginning stages of this tool, but I can tell you that it has been an absolute game changer for us.”
