Honoree Profile
Jennifer Dion joined Comcast as a staff accountant and ultimately took ownership of the VMS for its entire contingent program. Throughout her 22 years with Comcast, she built strong strategic partnerships with external partners and internal stakeholders to improve its CW technology, data analysis and business intelligence, and automation and process efficiencies.
Sitting under the controller’s group, Dion understood the importance of solid reporting and analytics. She originated a tracking file at a level of granularity that ultimately led to an automated accrual process for all business units within the managed program.
Dion’s goal is to simplify the process, eliminate touch points and lighten the workload for her “customer”: the hiring manager end-user as well as the MSP team.
Most recently, Dion overlaid Comcast’s established VMS product with an over-the-top solution (OTS) to create customization for her end users, including building bots to handle repeatable tasks.
Dion in February joined Amazon, where one of her tasks will be overseeing its program’s expansion into 14 additional countries.
“I want to create a best-in-class program that is something I can go out and speak to others about,” she says. “I can share what we’ve done, why we’ve done it, how we’ve done it and what it means to us as a program. Maybe we are uplifting small diverse companies, maybe we are changing the way that we think about utilizing external resources. For me, it’s about raising the bar.”
