Honoree Profile
Brandon Leibert manages Zurich North America’s contingent workforce program with customer service at the forefront of his mind. When the system is at its best, Zurich managers have access to a robust pool of qualified candidates at competitive rates via a simple-to-use process.
Leibert believed that bringing Zurich North America’s contingent workforce program in-house could enhance its ability to deliver on those goals with even greater attention to each manager’s unique needs. He built the business case and won approval to move from an external service provider in March 2020. He and colleagues articulated policies and procedures and implemented the technology and other infrastructure to track the work.
At the same time that he was insourcing the overall program, he was busy building the business case to simplify the process and technology for services procurement. His project management skills honed through his career enabled him to successfully balance these concurrent initiatives while continuing to deliver the day-to-day operations.
“By insourcing our contingent workforce program and streamlining some of our processes, we increased visibility and the quality of the program,” Leibert says. “We are now able to work with every area of the organization to make sure that we have the best outcomes for Zurich North America and its managers.”
One of Leibert’s key strengths is connecting teams with technology to enhance efficiencies. “It starts with listening and understanding the wide variety of stakeholders’ needs,” Leibert says. “The next step is to connect those needs with the technology and the people to help our stakeholders succeed.”
