2021 CW Program Game Changers

Adrian Zuber

Head of Infrastructure, Talent Acquisition, and Contingent Labor, Bank of America

Honoree Profile

As the head of infrastructure talent acquisition and contingent labor for EMEA, Adrian Zuber manages all elements of permanent recruitment (lateral and campus) for corporate functions at Bank of America. He also manages the contingent labor for EMEA, which supports the bank’s needs for individual contractors and statement of work solutions. Zuber implemented the MSP solution in APAC in 2012 and was responsible for the function as part of his role as staffing APAC COO; when he moved to the UK, he took on a role solely dedicated to managing contingent labor.

“As a program we have significant impact on all business functions across the bank,” Zuber says. “We provide a gateway to engaging contingent labor in a compliant, cost effective way. We offer an efficient, skilled solution to complex labor needs, and provide guidance on emerging market trends and evolving recruitment environments.”

He notes that the implementation of IR35 in the UK, and the uncertainty amid its delay, brought significant changes to the nature of contractor relationships with the bank, and an increase in contractor desire for a more flexible and independent approach to work; paired with the pandemic, this has led to a very challenging environment.

Ensuring the program is relevant and can address evolving needs of the bank’s clients while remaining an attractive proposition for contingent workers is a priority for Zuber— with diversity and inclusion at the forefront of its strategy.
