Honoree Profile
As program manager at Intel’s Ocotillo Technology Factory in Arizona, Peggy Dittmar owns headcount planning, forecasting and execution and establishes guidelines around the use of contingent labor. Her work serves as a blueprint across Intel and influences change globally.
Dittmar’s strategic approach to outsourcing helps the global MSP that spans 22 countries to be highly agile in its talent response. Her commitment to a nimble and scalable workforce has led to process changes that have enabled the business to scale through a robust contingent workforce.
Unafraid to challenge old paradigms and the status quo, Dittmar is a veteran change master who looks to the long game. “Ensuring a strategic plan is in place with the longer-term view of how to embed a flexible workforce within an organization is critical to managing the change,” she says.
A champion for diversity, Dittmar is developing a pilot initiative to create a suitable environment in which talent on the autism spectrum can deliver quality work. While the company’s day-to-day work is essential and therefore not affected by Covid-19, new initiatives have been put on hold. However, Dittmar continues to focus on the environment so it is ready to go when the situation permits.
Ditmar has been with Intel for more than 20 year, and has held her current role for the last 14.
