2020 CW Program Game Changers

Mary Hassler

Program Manager, Siemens Corp

Honoree Profile

When Mary Hassler joined Siemens Corp. 15 years ago, she discovered multiple programs within the organization that all had their own software, MSPs, and methods of problem solving. Hassler was tapped to work as an implementation lead on the consolidation efforts, migrating each entity into Fieldglass and one MSP, which greatly increased overall efficiency. Now, she is the flex force program manager in Siemens.

“Last year, we still had a situation where managers had three ways to onboard SOWs,” she recalls. “We consolidated those workers into the profile worker module of Fieldglass. It was a big accomplishment!” She aims to implement a data warehouse cloud-to-cloud solution, enabling the program to manage its own data and be less dependent on the VMS. She is also exploring other cloud solutions around cost centers and task codes.

Hassler is pleased that her program was not dramatically affected by Covid-19. “Our professionals worked remotely. The light industrial side is essential, so they stayed open,” she explains. During the early days of the pandemic, the program implemented temperature screening processes for onsite workers, later adding Covid-19 testing and contact tracing initiatives to ensure the contractors’ safety. She predicts that the pandemic will cause extended work-from-home policies to become more prevalent in the future. For now, she is focused on an exciting new project: a large acquisition to implement into the Flex Force Program.
