Mallory Govert

Peak Performers is growing fast — and in her role as the company’s chief operating officer, Mallory Govert gets to help drive that growth.

It’s an exciting place to be for Govert, who started working with Peak Performers in April 2022 as director of strategy and analytics. A subsequent seven-month stint as chief of staff segued into her current position in August 2023. She oversees IT, business ops and people, including compliance, analysts, HR, onboarding, payroll and community partnerships.

“I love my job,” Govert says. “I like the variety. We’re on a rapid growth strategy, so most of my day is spent looking for efficiencies and building out.” Peak Performers’ current annual revenue is $36 million — up from $18 million three years ago — and the company works for clients in 10 states. It hopes to add another 11 states during the second half of 2024. In five years, the plan is to work nationally and earn annual revenue of $100 million.

Peak Performance specializes in placing disabled professionals, and Govert is proud of her contribution to the disability community. Beyond that, she says, she’s proud of her ability to quickly look at what’s in front of her, learn from it and figure out how to handle it better next time. 

She considers herself a “crisis-tunity person” — which involves identifying root problems by asking, “Where is the problem? Where are we looking for efficiencies? How do we implement the change?” she explains. “A lot of people don’t like change, so helping and supporting other people through change is big.”
