For Anna Godsey, work is much more than a way to earn a living. It’s a chance to make the world a better place.

Godsey is VP of national accounts at Take2, which sources information technology professionals for businesses that have contracts with the federal government as well as commercial businesses. She manages Take2’s three largest customers, representing several hundred employees, and played a key role in helping the organization exceed $100 million in revenue in 2023. She leads growth and delivery strategy, manages relationships and ensures that Take2 has the proper service offerings.

Godsey is proud of her work, saying creating and coaching teams are among the best parts of it. “I’m a teacher and a coach at heart, so I’m energized by making connections with people, understanding how they think and what drives them in their individual careers,” she explains. 

Her 12 years in the staffing industry began by accident, Godsey says. She’d moved to a new city soon after college and was interviewing at a software company when someone introduced her to the owner of a staffing franchise. She started working to source IT professionals for that company’s recruiting team. 

At first, she loved the industry’s dynamic, fast-paced atmosphere, the daily wins and the sense of camaraderie. Now, Godsey says she loves getting to support “some amazing stuff”: making healthcare more accessible and providing careers for veterans, improving public safety and making data accessible for national security crisis responses.

“Knowing I’ve made a difference in the lives of our veterans and our citizens while building this organization makes me incredibly proud,” Godsey continues. “I have the privilege of working to make the world better.”
