Nimitt Sharma

When Nimitt Sharma moved to the US in 2003 to pursue his MBA, he didn’t know much about the staffing industry. But after “accidentally stumbling upon” an opportunity in staffing 16 years ago, he immediately found his calling. Over his 15 years with Pyramid Consulting, a talent acquisition, strategy and consulting provider, Sharma has worn many different hats, from recruiter to branch director and everything in between. He now serves as VP of strategic business development, leading a team that onboarded 25 new customers in 2020, making it one of Pyramid Consulting’s strongest years.

Sharma is an avid champion of diversity and inclusion in contingent labor programs and a driver of real change through workforce solutions like Pyramid Academy, an upskilling program designed to close the opportunity gap for historically excluded groups in technology disciplines, and Recruit:IN, a program focused on identifying and attracting experienced diverse talent via a combination of training, tools, proprietary search methodology and AI.

Sharma emphasizes that while HR tech platforms have revolutionized the industry in recent years, DE&I is definitely the next frontier for the industry: “I see the staffing industry being at the epicenter of societal change, leading us to a more just, diverse and inclusive workplace environment,” he says.
