Kim Pope
Main content
Kim Pope entered the staffing industry on the advice of a college friend, who recognized her ability to work with people and her competitive nature as a college field hockey player. She now excels at helping organizations set up their talent acquisition functions.
Under Pope’s leadership, WilsonHCG’s client revenue rose by 400% since 2013 and the RPO provider implemented an organizational structure that has allowed the company to strategically expand across North America, EMEA and Asia. She spearheaded the development of global partnerships, has been instrumental in three acquisitions and helped WilsonHCG raise capital from two private equity firms in 2014 and 2017.
Pope joined WilsonHCG in 2010 to lead the expansion of a strategic international account. She advanced rapidly, holding about six different roles in the company - from account leadership to sales and marketing and then back over to delivery and shared services.
As executive VP of global client solutions for the past two years, she was responsible for 700-plus people and oversees global recruiting; innovation and technology implementation and integration; and shared services, which includes sourcing and account coordination.
Today, she is chief operating officer.
What is the key to Pope’s success? “For me, it’s just really about doing great things and always trying to do right by your people - and working harder than everybody,” Pope explains. “That’s always been my philosophy and it usually works out from there.”
