Germany - ex-USG CEO becomes President of Orizon Group

14 December 2011

Ron Icke, who left his position as CEO at Dutch staffing giant USG People in September 2009 due to 'differences in opinion about the strategy to be taken', was yesterday appointed as Chairman of the board of Orizon Group, the provider of staffing services, which was formed last year by the merger of three previously independent staffing firms.

Icke was born in The Netherlands in 1957 and worked for USG People for 14 years, during four of which he was CEO.

Icke started his career at professional services firm PwC. He later worked as Finance Director for Wolters Schaberg B.V. and Goudsnit N.V.

After the takeover of Goudsnit by USG People in 1997, Icke initially became CFO of USG People and in 2006 he was made CEO of the staffing firm.

Orizon GmbH is a privately owned company, which was founded on 1 January 2010 by merging three regional staffing firms under one umbrella: RKM of Munich, RP Personal of Augsburg and Jobs in Time of Berlin.

According to Staffing Industry Analysts' latest ranking, Orizon is the 10th largest staffing company in Germany.
