Claire Cook began her career with Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) in 2019 as a freelancer and joined the editorial team full time in 2022. She manages SIA’s guest thought leadership publication, The Staffing Stream, and also plays an instrumental role in producing the organization’s multiple Who’s Who lists honoring worldwide movers and shakers in the workforce solutions ecosystem. Having previously worked as a recruiter and a secondary English teacher, Cook brings to the table a unique perspective on the world of work and a passion for the written word. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English studies from Indiana University and an editing certification from the University of Washington. Outside of SIA, Cook enjoys singing with a local women’s barbershop chorus and a quartet that performs for children. She lives near Seattle with her husband, two dogs and one cat.

Sharon Thomas’ journey with Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) began in 2001 when she joined the then-Los Altos, California-based company as an associate editor. She left in 2005 due to a family relocation and began freelancing the following year, ultimately rejoining the staff in 2012. Today, she serves as senior editorial director, collaborating with members of the editorial department in the creation and production of its suite publications. Most notably this includes the CWS 3.0 newsletter, Staffing Industry Review magazine, The Staffing Stream thought leadership platform, and SIA Who’s Who lists and related websites honoring professionals in the workforce solutions ecosystem. Thomas’ projects at SIA have been recognized for editorial excellence by Neal; Min; Folio (Eddies); the American Society of Business Publication Editors (Azbees); Trade, Association, Business Publications International (TABPI); and the Stevies. Prior to SIA, she was a project editor at IDG Books Worldwide, working closely with authors, editors and production staff in the publication of consumer-focused computer books. Thomas earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in journalism from State University of New York at Albany.
