SIA has published its complete set of international largest lists in IT. These show the largest players in IT staffing and their footprints on the industry in terms of market share.
In the US, the largest three IT staffing firms are TEKsystems, Insight Global and Innova Solutions. These three combined to generate $8.7 billion in US IT staffing revenue in 2023 (23% of the US IT staffing market), according to the Largest IT Staffing Firms in the United States: 2024 Update report. Sixty-six firms appear on the list with all having revenue greater than our US cutoff of $100 million.
In Europe, the largest three IT staffing firms are Akkodis, Hays and Experis, according to the Largest IT Staffing Firms in Europe 2024 report. These three combined for €5.9 billion in Europe IT staffing revenue in 2023. There are 71 firms on this list, all with revenue greater than the €20 million threshold set by SIA.
In the UK, Lorien, Akkodis and Sanderson were the three largest IT staffing firms, accounting for 24% of the UK IT staffing market in 2023, according to the Largest IT Staffing Firms in the UK 2024 report. Forty-two firms are on the list, all with UK IT staffing turnover greater than £20 in 2023. Thirty-three of the 42 firms are headquartered in the UK.
And in Asia Pacific, TechnoPro, Shanghai FSG and Randstad are the three largest, representing 12% of the APAC IT staffing market in 2023, according to the Largest IT Staffing Firms in APAC 2024 report. Twenty-nine firms made the APAC list, each with APAC IT staffing revenue greater than $20 million in 2023. Nine of these firms have headquarters in Japan.
The companies qualifying for these lists did so despite challenges in the industry. 2024 could prove to be a stronger year, though more data is needed. Second-quarter earnings reports are coming out now, and the US Staffing Industry Pulse Survey Report: July 2024 Selected Highlights report (click here to participate) has been released. These will help paint a clearer picture of how things stood in the first half of the year, and what to expect in the second half.
