Gigpro announces a $16M funding round

Gigpro, a Charleston, South Carolina-based on-demand labor marketplace focused on the hospitality industry, announced the close of a $16 million series A funding round on July 30.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its platform and enhance its technological capabilities.
“This funding will allow us to empower more hospitality professionals, further advance our leading technology platform and continue to provide exceptional service,” co-founder and CEO Samuel Mylrea said in a press release.
The funding round was led by Foundry, with participation from Stage 1 Ventures and existing investors Stage 2 Capital and Detroit Venture Partners.
Founded in 2021, Gigpro serves hotels, bars, country clubs, retirement communities and sports arenas. It operates in 28 cities across the US.
