Nomad Health, a provider of travel nurses and allied healthcare professionals, announced June 17 a $22 million funding round led by growth capital firm HealthQuest Capital. It also announced the promotion of Justin Lambert to CEO.

Lambert previously served as president and chief operating officer at Nomad Health.

“I am grateful and excited to be appointed CEO by our board and to have the opportunity to help Nomad bring its novel approach and leading technology to more people in more ways,” Lambert said in a press release.

Co-founder and former CEO Alexi Gharib Nazem will remain on Nomad’s board of directors. Nazem served as CEO since founding Nomad in 2015. He also appeared on SIA’s 2024 2024 Staffing 100 North America list.

The company also appointed Senior VP Justine Lelchuk to fill Lambert’s previous role of chief operating officer. Lelchuk joined Nomad in 2021; she previously was a managing director at Deloitte Consulting.

The funding round will enable the company to expand its product portfolio and meet continued demand for its technology, according to Nomad.

“The demand is strong for the company’s technology, data insight capabilities, and clinicians which presents tremendous opportunity,” Garheng Kong, founder and managing partner of HealthQuest Capital, said in a press release.

Other investors include Adams Street, Icon Ventures, Polaris Partners, .406 Ventures and RRE Ventures.

Nomad ranks as the 23rd-largest healthcare staffing firm in the US.
