CTG rebrands its IT staffing business following acquisition
Main article
CTG announced June 5 that it’s rebranding and relaunching its IT staffing business. The move comes after the Buffalo, New York-based firm was acquired in December 2023 by Cegeka Groep, a firm based in Hasselt, Belgium.
The IT staffing business is now CTG Talent Solutions.
“With the acquisition by Cegeka, it kind of made sense for us to take a hard look at what we can offer and how we can kind of capitalize and exploit our strengths,” Marcy Rychlewski, managing director of CTG Talent Solutions, said in an interview.
CTG’s footprint has expanded globally, and the company can capitalize on the strengths that Cegeka bring, Rychlewski said. With all this in the mix, the company is moving forward with the new IT staffing brand.
CTG was traded on the Nasdaq prior to Cegeka’s acquisition. It was originally founded in 1966. The company had total revenue of $325 million in 2022.
The company’s rebrand comes as the overall US IT staffing market is slated to contract 3% this year after contracting 10% in 2023, according to SIA SIA estimates. There are currently reports of momentum, though challenges continue. The overall IT staffing market in the US is forecast to return to growth next year.
Rychlewski, however, said things remain strong from her viewpoint. And she says she believes it will strengthen in the future. CTG is also focused on the opportunity for expansion into new areas as it integrates with Cegeka.
