American Medical Staffing Inc. hired Linda Perneau as CEO effective March 25. As CEO, Perneau will oversee all aspects of AMS’s operations.
Perneau is taking over the combined responsibilities of CEO Thomas Kirk and President Missy Blankenship; Kirk will remain as chairman of the board, while Blankenship will be transitioning out of the organization.
Perneau, who will be based in AMS’ corporate offices in Hunt Valley, Maryland, brings more than 30 years of experience. She previously was president, CEO and board director at publicly traded Volt Information Sciences Inc., where she led a five-year strategic plan culminating in its sale in 2022 to American CyberSystems Inc. through its Vega Consulting Inc. Affiliate. Prior to Volt, she held executive positions at Randstad and at SFN Group/Spherion Staffing, which was acquired by Randstad.
SIA has recognized Perneau on its Global Power 150 Women in Staffing list as well as the Staffing 100 list of influential leaders in the industry.
“We are thrilled to welcome Linda Perneau to AMS as CEO,” said Rohan Saikia, managing director of Great Point Partners, in a press release. “Her experience and strategic vision make her an ideal fit to lead the company into its next phase of growth. We are confident that under her guidance, AMS will continue to thrive and exceed expectations in the healthcare staffing industry.”
AMS ranks on SIA’s list of largest healthcare staffing firms in the US.
