Active Staffing Services acquired Employment Geeks, a staffing firm based in Orlando, Florida. Employment Geeks operates in a range of sectors including office/clerical, custodial, transportation and food. It provides both temporary staffing and perm placement.

The deal, which closed in April, marks Active Staffing’s first acquisition in Orlando.

“We are very excited to bring Employment Geeks into our service family,” Active Staffing CEO Benjamin Elzweig said in a press release. “Their commitment to helping clients employ the best people in a wide range of work settings aligns perfectly with our rapidly growing business approach.”

Employment Geeks Executive Recruiter Paulo Bento will be a minority partner in Employment Geeks after the acquisition, guiding its growth in the region, according to the company.

“Through this partnership, we look forward to shaking up our market and advancing our mission of better servicing our clients and candidates at an accelerated pace,” Bento said in a press release.

Active Staffing is based in New York and projects revenue of $75 million this year. It’s owned by the Elzweig family.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.

Other recent acquisitions by Active Staffing include OnStaff USA, Phoenix Staffing and Normann Staffing Services.
