  • AI or machine learning using algorithms relies on large amounts of data to recognize patterns within the data from which it creates a pathway for action. The potential for misuse of that data is compounded by the challenge of ensuring the dataset does not lead to bias, unfairness or discrimination

  • Other risks arising from the application of AI systems include falling foul of laws on background checks, the misclassification of workers and negligence. AI technology itself could give rise to hazards affecting workplace safety

  • Staffing firms and contingent workforce buyers should use this report to identify the potential areas of risk that might arise while using AI-enabled technology
