This annual update provides information about the latest developments globally in laws regulating the way personal data is processed
In this update, we report on the agreement in principle between the EU and US on a Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework for protecting transfers of personal data across the Atlantic
Also, US and Canadian federal governments are considering comprehensive legislation, while the UK government announces a post-Brexit Data Reform Bill to reduce burdens on business and Sri Lanka is the first South Asian country to enact its own comprehensive privacy law
