Fiona Coombe is director of legal and regulatory research at Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA). She is responsible for quarterly regional legal updates on the latest, significant legal developments for staffing firms and buyers in Asia Pacific (APAC), Europe and the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Coombe also provides research and analysis into specific issues of compliance and risk impacting the workforce environment in these regions. Coombe qualified as a lawyer in the United Kingdom in 1987 and worked in private practice for 11 years before joining the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) in 1998. For 10 years she managed the legal services provided to 13,000 staffing industry members. In the four years prior to joining SIA, Coombe ran her own business providing legal consultancy services and compliance training for staffing businesses across the United Kingdom. She is a certified contingent workforce professional (CCWP).
