From Jan. 1, 2020 the standard salary level requirement for an employee to be exempt from the entitlement to overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) increases from $455 per week (annualized $23,660) to $684 per week (annualized $35,568), the first increase since 2004.
This report examines the issues faced by staffing firms and employers in relation to the Overtime Rule changes and the options to remain compliant with the FLSA.
